VRA players Domantas Stravinskas and Julius Melnikas among Lithuania’s R-15 national team leaders in the clash in Czechia

On February 28 at 3:00 PM Lithuanian time, Lithuania’s men’s R-15 national team will take the field in Czechia, where they will face a serious challenge against the Czech national side.

It is especially exciting to see two representatives of Vilnius Rugby Academy – Julius Melnikas and Domantas Stravinskas – among the players wearing the Lithuanian national jersey. Both will start the match in the starting lineup, which is a significant recognition of their dedication, development, and hard work at the Academy.

Starting Lineup Highlights

• Julius Melnikas will play in the winger position, No. 11. Speed, agility, and the ability to exploit even the smallest spaces are invaluable qualities for a winger. Julius has repeatedly proven that he can be a dangerous attacking weapon and a reliable presence in defense.

• Domantas Stravinskas will take the field as outside centre, No. 13. This is one of the most strategically important roles on the pitch – requiring strong game awareness, the ability to create opportunities for teammates, and to stop opposition attacks. Domantas’ physical strength and understanding of the game are expected to play an important role in this match.
