First challenge in the U12 championship
On May 31st in Šiauliai, the first round of the U12 (born 2014–2015) championship took place. It marked an important step for the young athletes of Vilnius Rugby Academy.
Although victories have not yet come, the team showed what matters most – determination, fighting spirit, and the will to compete for every ball until the final whistle. Results do not yet fully reflect the hard work put in, but the progress is clearly visible.
The players scored a number of points, demonstrated strong character, and gained confidence with every match. Each situation became a lesson, and every game – a step forward.
It is clear that more work and focus in training will be needed to start winning consistently. However, belief in this team remains strong – persistence and effort will eventually turn into victories.
A special thank you goes to the parents, who are always there supporting, traveling, and standing by the team in both good and challenging moments. Your support means everything.
TAG rugby festival in Vilnius
On June 7th, the Lithuanian TAG Rugby Tour took place in Vilnius at the Vingis Park stadium of Vilnius Rugby Academy. The event was dedicated to the youngest players (born 2016 and younger, grades 1–4).
Vilnius Rugby Academy participated with three teams. The tournament was full of emotions – the children experienced both wins and losses, but most importantly, enjoyed the game and gained valuable experience.
The event turned into a celebration for the whole community. Alongside rugby matches, participants enjoyed a variety of activities, including a large inflatable bouncy castle, cotton candy, and hot dogs.
Such events help children develop not only their sporting skills but also build teamwork, friendships, and a love for sport from an early age.
