Vilnius Rugby Academy Kicks Off the Baltic Rugby Championship
Vilnius Rugby Academy has entered a new R15 season, starting its journey in the Baltic Rugby Championship. The first match took place on August 3rd in Klaipėda, where the team faced a strong opponent – the rugby club "Kuršiai".

The inaugural match of the Baltic Rugby Championship saw Vilnius Rugby Academy go head-to-head with Klaipėda's Kuršiai. Although the game ended in a 07:33 loss for the capital’s team, the players demonstrated determination and a true fighting spirit.
The first half went well for the Vilnius side – the team played with discipline, defended successfully, and created dangerous attacking opportunities. However, after halftime, Kuršiai took control of the game, gained momentum, and secured their victory in the second half.
Despite the final score, Vilnius Rugby Academy is proud of the team’s effort. Karolis Mikelaitis was named the best player of the match, standing out with his resilience and strong character.
The next match is set for August 10th at 3:00 PM in Vilnius, where the Academy will face Latvian club "SPORTA PUNKTS / Livonia". A stronger performance and even greater support from the home crowd are expected.
