On May 3, Kaunas hosted the second round of the Lithuanian R-7 Youth Championship, where the Vilnius Rugby Academy team also tested its strength. The young VRA players are taking their first steps in this championship, but with every match they are becoming more confident on the field.

Compared to the first round, the team showed clear progress this time – the players fought more bravely for possession, joined attacks more actively, and scored points. Although the results do not always fully reflect the effort put in, the most important thing is that the team is growing, gaining experience, and gradually finding its game rhythm.

After the second round, the Vilnius Rugby Academy team has 3 points in the standings. The competition brought strong opponents, so every match became a valuable lesson and an opportunity to improve. There is still work to be done – both in defence and in decision-making on the field – but this is only the beginning. What matters most is the team’s desire to fight and keep moving forward.

It is also great to highlight that Ratmir Olševskij was named the best player of the Vilnius Rugby Academy team.

Congratulations to Ratmir and the entire VRA team.

WE GROW ONLY TOGETHER!
