Vilnius Rugby Academy competed in the final stage of the “GP Baltic Rugby 7’s” in Poland.

On September 6, in Biesal (Poland), the “Grand Final – GP Baltic Rugby 7’s” tournament took place, where the Vilnius Rugby Academy team also put their skills to the test.

On Saturday, September 6, in the town of Biesal (Poland), the “Grand Final – GP Baltic Rugby 7’s” tournament took place, bringing together teams from Lithuania, Poland, and Latvia. This stage featured 8 squads, while a total of 13 teams competed throughout the entire championship. Among the participants were also the men of the Vilnius Rugby Academy.

VRA was placed in a group with RC Koszalin, RK Miesnieki, and Tytan Gniezno. The other group consisted of Klaipėda Kuršiai, Rugby Biesal, RK Lači Riga, and Arka Gdynia.

The Vilnius started tournament against one of the tournament leaders – RC Koszalin. After a tough battle, the opponents secured a 28–5 victory. In the second match, VRA faced RK Miesnieki. Despite a spirited performance, the Latvian side edged out the win 12–7.

In the third match, the Academy men showed real character, claiming a convincing 25–7 victory over Tytan Gniezno. The fourth game also went VRA’s way, as they comfortably defeated RC Arka Gdynia 45–7.

After four matches, the Vilnius Rugby Academy celebrated two solid wins and finished the championship in 5th place overall.
