Vilnius Rugby Academy brought together three children’s teams at the 8th TAG Rugby Tournament in Vilnius!
The 8th children’s TAG Rugby Tournament at Vingis Park gathered teams from across Lithuania – Vilnius Rugby Academy celebrates its growing youth ranks, thanks the Lithuanian Rugby Federation for organizing, and hopefully looks forward to two more tournaments this autumn.

On October 11th, at our Vingis Park sports stadium in Vilnius, we hosted the 8th TAG Rugby Tournament for children, which gathered young athletes from all over Lithuania.
This year’s tournament was a special milestone for Vilnius Rugby Academy – for the first time, we brought to the field three of our own children’s teams! We are proud that our academy is expanding, our numbers are growing, and the rugby family continues to flourish.
Although the weather was changeable throughout the day, the mood remained festive and full of energy. The children enjoyed every game, the fans cheered loudly, and the field was full of excitement, laughter, and beautiful rugby moments.
A huge thank you goes to the Vilnius Rugby Academy men’s team players, who helped train and support the young athletes, as well as to all the coaches, parents, and volunteers who contributed to making this a wonderful celebration of youth rugby.
We also sincerely thank the Lithuanian Rugby Federation for organizing this tournament and for their continuous effort to develop children’s rugby across the country.
We are delighted that Vilnius has become a center for children’s rugby, and that we could welcome so many teams from different Lithuanian cities.
If the weather allows, two more TAG rugby tournaments are scheduled – on October 18th and November 8th. We look forward to more fun, excitement, and great rugby experiences for our young players!
