As the start of the Baltic Rugby Championship approaches, Vilnius Rugby Academy played a pre-season match at their home ground in Vilnius, marking the final stage of preparation before the official competition begins.
The main objective of the match was not only the result, but also the opportunity for the team to regain match rhythm, test tactical elements developed during training sessions, and evaluate its readiness for the challenges ahead. Despite being a friendly fixture, the game was played at a high intensity, featuring fast-paced attacks, physical battles, and strong defensive performances.
Vilnius Rugby Academy demonstrated excellent discipline, determination, and teamwork throughout the match, ultimately securing a well-deserved victory. The coaching staff had a valuable opportunity to assess the squad's current form and see how players adapted to match conditions after months of preparation.
Following several months of hard work on the training field, the team now enters the new season motivated and ready to compete for ambitious goals in the Baltic Rugby Championship.
The first official challenge of the season awaits on June 13 in Riga, Latvia, where Vilnius Rugby Academy will face Miesnieki / Ķekava. The match will take place at Braslas Street 16, Riga.
