The 2026 Baltic Rugby Championship Premier Division season has come to an end, with Vilnius Rugby Academy finishing second in the final standings. 🥈
In our final match of the season, we faced RK “Kuršiai”. It was a closely fought contest from the very beginning, with our opponents leading 15–10 at half-time. The battle only intensified in the second half.
Neither team managed to pull away, and the match remained open until the final whistle. In the end, just one point separated the two sides, with RK “Kuršiai” winning 25–24.
We entered the match without a full squad, as several players were unavailable due to injuries and other circumstances. Despite this, the team showed great character, fought until the very last minute and came incredibly close to victory.
Pierre-Louis Laviale and Domantas Stravinskas were named our Players of the Match. 🤝
The final 2026 Baltic Rugby Championship Premier Division standings:
1st – RK “Kuršiai”
2nd – Vilnius Rugby Academy 🥈
3rd – Miesnieki
4th – Fēnikss
Congratulations to RK “Kuršiai” on winning the championship! We would also like to thank all the teams that took part for the battles on the pitch and for making the 2026 season a memorable one.
