On September 27, the Vilnius Rugby Academy community gathered at the Vingis Park Rugby Stadium for the Rugby Family Festival, bringing together young players, their parents and everyone who wanted to enjoy an active and fun day together.
Of course, rugby was at the heart of the event. Participants had the opportunity to try Tag Rugby – a non-contact form of rugby that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, regardless of previous experience.
This time, the adults especially surprised us! Tag Rugby was not just for the younger players – parents enthusiastically joined the action as well. There was plenty of energy, competitive spirit and excitement on the pitch, and the adults’ enthusiasm undoubtedly inspired our young players too. 💪
While the rugby action continued on the pitch, there were plenty of other activities to enjoy. Children could have fun on the bouncy castle, enjoy some cotton candy, take part in games and simply spend a great day with their families and friends.
This is exactly what rugby means to us and what we want to share with others – it is about much more than sport and results on the pitch. It is about teamwork, community, support and the experiences we share together. ❤️🖤
It was wonderful to see different generations and families together on the same pitch – not only supporting the young players from the sidelines, but also stepping onto the field and experiencing rugby themselves.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, played, supported and helped create such a great atmosphere. We hope you went home with plenty of great memories and an even greater desire to meet again on the rugby pitch! 🏉
📸 A special thank you to Rytis Ragauskas for capturing the moments and emotions of the festival.
WE GROW TOGETHER! ❤️🖤
