To encourage children's physical activity, foster teamwork skills, and introduce young students to one of the most dynamic team sports, Vilnius Rugby Academy is implementing a project at Eitminiškės Gymnasium.
During the free sessions, primary school students are introduced to the basics of rugby in a fun and safe environment. They learn movement techniques, ball-handling skills, and the importance of teamwork. The activities help improve children's physical fitness, coordination, self-confidence, and encourage an active lifestyle.
Rugby is valued worldwide not only for developing athletic abilities but also for promoting core values such as respect, discipline, responsibility, and team spirit. Therefore, these introductory sessions provide an excellent opportunity for children to try a new sport and discover the joy of being active.
The sessions take place every Tuesday and are intended for primary school children. The project will continue until the end of the year.
The project is funded by the Vilnius District Municipality.
