First VRA victory in the Baltic Rugby Championship – Latvian team defeated on a rainy August 10
On August 10, Vilnius Rugby Academy achieved its first victory of the Baltic Rugby Championship season at home, defeating Latvia's Sporta Punkts / Livonia team. Although the match was accompanied by rain and thunderstorms, the team demonstrated strong character and confident play.

On August 10, we stepped onto the rain-soaked home court to welcome guests from Latvia – the Sporta Punkts / Livonia team. Thunder rumbled in the sky and rain poured down, but that didn't stop the VRA men.
From the very first minutes, we dictated the pace of the game and ended the half with an impressive lead – 32:0. The second half of the match was even more intense, but even the challenges of nature did not stop us – the final whistle announced a clear VRA victory 58:5.
This victory is special. It marks our first victory in this Baltic Rugby Championship season and proves that our team is ready to achieve even more.
Julius Melnikas was named the best player of the match – his energy and enthusiasm helped the team achieve this result.
